The onAir platform can also be licensed by individuals, groups, and organizations for custom hubs and networks  such as this proposal for a SNF Agora Institute Hub.

A number of prototype hubs have been developed for a variety of applications including a contract with George Mason University Office of Research for a hub that created, organized, and displayed posts for over 100 GMU research centers, posts for over 450 researchers, and posts on 11 academic units.

Other hub applications included a site for an association and their annual DC conference, multiple sites related to NIH’s BRAIN Initiative, a hub for a student Speak-up competition for women’s rights, and a site that had posts on Mason faculty, students, and programs especially ones tied to Fairfax City and County.
